Did you know that tomorrow is National Housing Day? November 22nd will be the day that Canadians recognize and celebrate the affordable housing initiatives that are making a difference in people's lives.
Here in Edmonton, Homeward Trust will be hosting a luncheon to recognize the initiatives taken in our city that bring us steps closer toawrds ending homelessness.

There is a new subdivision in Oxford, in which all builders will have to meet specific eco-friendly guidelines.
This is an excellent step forward for Edmonton! While many new home builders throughout the city do already have their own green guidelines in place to maximize on the home's energy efficiency (and reducing their impact on the environment), it is great to see the practices become standard.

There is a new school in the Summerside & Ellerslie area for Kindergarten - Grade 9 Students! Michael Strembitsky School opened in September of this year, and they just had their grand opening ceremony on October 18th.

Parkview is a residential neighbourhood in west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley. The neighbourhood is informally split into two smaller neighbourhoods, with the portion east of 142 Street called Valleyview and the portion west of 142 Street called Parkview. There is a small strip shopping centre, Valleyview Shopping Centre, located near the centre of the neighbourhood on the Parkview side of 142 Street.
