Edmonton and its surrounding communities have excellent recreation and entertainment options, from Oilers NHL hockey to the Saskatchewan River valley walking trails. There’s no shortage of things to do in Edmonton.

I’ve included some important resources for you if you’re moving to Edmonton and aren’t familiar with the city. Relocating is never easy, and you’ll be wondering where the hospitals are, how to get a doctor, where to stay while you’re looking for an Edmonton home, educational opportunities and also about finding jobs in Edmonton.

Once you’re settled in, you’ll find that Edmonton shopping opportunities are virtually boundless. Edmonton’s shopping ranges from the world-famous West Edmonton mall to unique shops along Whyte Avenue.

Parkview

Parkview is a residential neighbourhood in west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley. The neighbourhood is informally split into two smaller neighbourhoods, with the portion east of 142 Street called Valleyview and the portion west of 142 Street called Parkview. There is a small strip shopping centre, Valleyview Shopping Centre, located near the centre of the neighbourhood on the Parkview side of 142 Street.
