Wednesday, February 2, 2011 - Moonlight Snowshoe Tours in the River Valley, Feb. 4th and 11th only!

The weather is warming up and that means it's the perfect time to get out and explore the winter beauty of the river valley!

The City of Edmonton is hosting a unique event to discover the river valley - by snowshoe and horse-drawn wagon. You'll begin your evening with a 1 km snowshoe through the river valley, light by lanterns. The snowshoes come off and you can warm up with a tasty mug of hot apple cider. Fort Edmonton Park interpreters will guide you through a night-time tour through the park. Finish up with a wagon ride back to the Fort entrance!

The snowshoe trek takes place on your choice of Friday, February 4, 2011 or the 11th.

Parkview
Parkview is a residential neighbourhood in west Edmonton, Alberta, Canada overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley. The neighbourhood is informally split into two smaller neighbourhoods, with the portion east of 142 Street called Valleyview and the portion west of 142 Street called Parkview. There is a small strip shopping centre, Valleyview Shopping Centre, located near the centre of the neighbourhood on the Parkview side of 142 Street.
