Saturday, October 20, 2012 - Mill Woods to City Centre LRT Line
The city of Edmonton posted this video (click here) for the planned LRT route from Mill Woods to City Centre, which is still in the preliminary design phase.
Even though construction is still years away, we are still very excited to know it is in the works!
The new LRT line would open up a huge number of opportunities to residents living near the new stops. This includes more access to restaurants, entertainment venues, festivals, and office buildings. Currently, for many residents of Mill Woods, the commute to the downtown core is lengthy (when several transfers are required), and given the cost of downtown parking, working there is not a great option for them. The new line could change this significantly for them!
